Dr. Ayman Shahine

New Jersey officials have finally shut down butt butcher Ayman Shahine.

Shahine, a gynecologist turned plastic surgeon, agreed to surrender his medical license in the face of disciplinary action by the New Jersey Board of Medical Examiners.

The April 1 action came after The Post revealed a disciplinary lag that allowed New York doctors who had their licenses revoked to keep practicing in New Jersey and the reverse to happen in New York.

New York authorities yanked Shahine’s license on Jan. 9, sustaining 16 allegations of misconduct. More than a dozen patients have sued him for botched butt lifts and other surgeries since 2013.

Shahine remains licensed in Connecticut.

Also on April 1, New York authorities took action against New Jersey pediatrician Martin Fried, who surrendered his New Jersey license on Sept. 17, 2018, after being arrested on drug distribution charges.

The Department of Health issued an order to stop him from practicing in New York until the state Board for Professional Medical Conduct finishes hearings.
